Uvesa Low Resolution

Despite uvesa working well i am only getting 1280x1024 max out of the framebuffer. the picture doesn't even fit my screen completely? i feel at one time i had it working at 1080P?

Is there a kernel setting i am missing?

# hwinfo --vbe

will list the video modes that are supported by your video BIOS. Alternatively, you can enable vesafb and boot with vga=ask. However, not all video BIOS programmers were so considerate to include an 1080p mode.
