I just emerged firefox and it wont start i click on it in kde and see the blinking cursor. No windows appear at all? In the terminal i type firefox and enter and nothing happens as well. Pls Help? its version 3.6.20?

I've had problems with Firefox and Thunderbird recently. Both are Mozilla products, and they've been doing things differently lately (some kind of "rapid development" crap).
I solved all my recent FF and TB problems by getting rid of "firefox" and "thunderbird" and emerging "firefox-bin" and "thunderbird-bin".

I had similar problems with unmasked firefox after uninstall and rebuild.
Check last output in emerge. Possible firefox was not installed after emerging.
When I manually delete broken links in /usr/lib/firefox/plugins and broken links in firefox location to java plugin manually and then rebuild - problem solved.
This is strange issue and seems as bug.
Also this fixed another strange problems with firefox.
