FBsplash and initramfs?

ok so i had followed the guide and got my nice screen working however it doesnt seem to pop on right after the kernel loads? i am using uvesa so i have initramfs in my kernel. i used splash_genininitramfs

and can actually see it in there i remake the kernel and it pops up but way to late? is there anyway for me to see if initramfs is working?

Did you put the initrd line in your /boot/grub/menu.lst?

heres my grub file. i didnt think i had to because its built into the kernel.

Sorry, never mind. I misread your post as stating that you had included only the v86d initramfs in your kernel and not the splash_geninitramfs initramfs too.
