Sun's version of Gnome ?

I was reading a story on the new "Sun Distro" for desktops (MadHatter), and was having a look at the desktop enviroment of GNOME.. wow very nice..

My question is.. Will I be able to replicate their desktop without too much work?

I'm using KDE atm but If thats what Gnome is like I'll be swapping soon!

On that note.. why does it look so much "cleaner" than KDE?

It does look nice. I too would like to know the modificatoins made and how they did it.

They'll have to release it under GPL sooner or later... (Except maybe the themeing engine)

Looks like a custom theme, minus the GNOME2 top panel/menubar and a enhanced GNOME menu.

That's really nice. I'm also looking forward to seeing what kind of desktop linux Novell will produce.

hmm.. seems like they tried to make GNOME much more Windows-like, like Lycoris, Xandros, Lindows,et al, have done with KDE.

I personally think they should have kept to using Bluecurve, since this is RH derived distro.

I like this better than Bluecurve as Bluecurve assumes too much..

This seems to be a nice "inbetween"..
