Flash in Firefox freezes after opening Settings

  • Quote

Post by dli » Mon Apr 20, 2009 2:29 am

When I'm running a Flash movie and I right click on it and select "Settings..." from the menu, the applet appears to freeze.
Mouse clicks on the settings page don't do anything, and I can't close the window.
This also occurs whenever a window pops up with a website asking to store more information on my computer.

Tab and Shift-Tab still work and can select elements of the window, and enter still works, so I can get out of it by tabbing over to Close and pressing Enter, but this still seems like a bug,

I have mozilla-firefox-3.0.8, and adobe-flash-10.0.22.87. Also, I'm running 64 bit.

Any advice? Thanks.

I'm not sure why this happens, It use to happen to me in the 'stable' Firefox but since moving to the next release (3.6a1pre) in the devnull overlay this no longer happens, I also tested this with Arora and this 'bug' affects that browser to.
I'm using the exact same flash version as you. so it seems browser dependent with no obvious fix/work around to me.

edited to clean up a little.

Aww, I upgraded to 3.6a1pre, and now sites say that I don't have the Flash addon.
