[Solved]evince-2.24.2 fails to compile

Problems with emerge or ebuilds? Have a basic programming question about C, PHP, Perl, BASH or something else?

[Solved]evince-2.24.2 fails to compile

Hi,

I just upgraded to gnome 2.24 and the only package that fails to compile is evince with the following error:

I'm getting the same problem as well. I could figure out all the other failures with the gnome upgrade, but this one has me stumped. My error message was all but identical to yours. Hopefully, someone smarter than me can help you out.

same error here, no idea what's causing it, not much on google about it,

solved by unmerging it :P

All right, I got it! I needed to rebuild poppler-bindings with the +cairo flag. After doing so, evince compiled fine. Good luck!

Beat me to it, was just about to post the +cairo USE flag on poppler-bindings. :)
