sun x86/x64-servers - will gentoo run on them?

i'm about to get two new sun servers and just want to make sure that gentoo will run w/out any problems on them:
one x2250 with two quadcore-xeons on an (i think) intel mainboard and
one
x4150 with two quadcore-xeons on an (i think) intel mainboard and a sun storagetek sas-raid-adapter.

does anyone see any problems or have any other comments (before i spend so much :wink: )
