how to edit files?

ok, in the insatll readme it says like edit this file or edit that file.... how do you edit it though.. whats the command?

it's nano....

try nano -w <filename>

the best way to scare someone who is new to linux, is to tell him to use vim ;)

vi's powerfull, but 0 on the user friendly :)
even most vi fans will agree to that

I use nano myself.
Someone asked me once if I suffered from mental illness. I told him I enjoyed every second of it.

Sometimes I use mp ... mp reminds me of edit in old dos :lol:

vi's friendly... it's just particular about who it's friends are. :lol:

I've always been a vi user, but after just a few days with nano I must admit I like it very much. simple and straight-forward - really great for quick edits.

And the best way to scare someone who's old to linux is to tell them to use emacs :)
