2.Then I
USE="newspr" emerge libXft

3.But the problem still exist. And it shows the same error message.

4.Then I emerge -C cairo.
This cause several relations with cairo.
5 .Then I run revdep-rebuild
See here:http://rafb.net/p/EHBn5d29.html
We can see many applications have a relation to cairo

Now I can't emerge cairo.Any help will be appreciate.

For layman versions prior to 1.2.0 use:

echo "source /usr/portage/local/layman/make.conf" >> /etc/make.conf

For layman versions 1.2.0 and later use:

echo "source /usr/local/portage/layman/make.conf" >> /etc/make.conf

Note: You should add overlays to layman before adding this line to make.conf, or else Portage will error out.

pjq@localhost ~ $ layman --version
1.1.1

So I should use echo "source /usr/portage/local/layman/make.conf" >> /etc/make.conf.
Does this has relation to the problem?

There is probably a problem with your overlay configuration.
Please post the output of:

Code: Select all

emerge -pv cairo libXft
On the main repo, neither Cairo nor libXft have the use flag that your log suggests,
so your overlays are doing something here.

Try sync'ing your overlays if cairo and libXft come from different places.

Now I delete the overlay line in the make.conf
Then emerge cairo, now everything is OK.

Thanks for you suggestion~!
