Esound and Pulseaudio

Do you need both of them installed for gnome 2.20?

You cannot have both running at the same time. Pulseaudio is compatible with Esound, so apps using Esound should work with pulse.

Yep. My crate has such setup and I haven't experienced any issues so far.

It would seem like a virtual/esd would be helpful here... a lot of older programs have an option for esound, which should be compatible with Pulseaudio, but the app will pull in esound if you remove it. If I remove the esound use flag, will it still work with Pulse?
