Date Stamp Images

Are there any tools that would allow me to stamp JPEG images with Date Taken inside the image? For example to stamp the date on the right hand corner of the image. If this can be accomplished with a script better yet. Please let me know.

Using imagemagick's convert should do the trick. man convert and look for -annotate. Nice for adding text to a set of images (within a script).

It definitely can be done in a script. Use exiftool to extract the date, then use imagemagick to annotate the image with the date.
