AIGLX in new ati drivers?

Does anyone know how to get the AIGLX to work in the new ati drivers? I had it working on the first drivers they released that supported it but haven't been able to on any sense then. Did they remove it? I'm feeling they are losing progress with each driver release. Or is there some trick to getting it working?

I've been reading on quite a few sites that AIGLX is just not functional in the latest driver releases. I've been trying to get Compositing to work in KDE4 since release with absolutely no luck at all. Hopefully will be fixed in next driver release.

EDIT:

I found on the Fedora forums that people were reverting back to xorg-server-1.3 and getting it to work. So I thought I'd give that a shot, and voila. So far so good. Apparently fglrx doesn't support xorg-server-1.4 yet.
