Hi everybody...I've been using Gentoo for a few days and I really like it, but now I'm stuck with some configuration on my Gnome desktop :S
The point is, that in other distros, like Ubuntu, when I mounted a Partition of ohter HD, an icon appeared automatic on the desktop, and in my gentoo when I mount a HD nothing happens :S how can I fix this??

Ahm...ahother problem is...i've been trying to update my system, all was going fine but then occured an error with dev-libs/libusb, the end of the error looks like this, hope someone could help me with this, specially with the part of the ICONS :D:D

Code: Select all

make[2]: *** [html/index.html] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory `/var/tmp/portage/dev-libs/libusb-0.1.12/work/libusb-0.1.12/doc'
make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/var/tmp/portage/dev-libs/libusb-0.1.12/work/libusb-0.1.12'
make: *** [all] Error 2

!!! ERROR: dev-libs/libusb-0.1.12 failed.
Call stack:
  ebuild.sh, line 1638:   Called dyn_compile
  ebuild.sh, line 985:   Called qa_call 'src_compile'
  ebuild.sh, line 44:   Called src_compile
  libusb-0.1.12.ebuild, line 46:   Called die

!!! emake failed
!!! If you need support, post the topmost build error, and the call stack if relevant.

About icons - Run gconf-editor and tick Apps --> Nautilus --> Desktop --> volumes_visible

About libusb i don`t have a clue.Maybe you could paste more from error message.
