hal-0.5.9-r1 mount options problem

Hello.
I use hal with KDE.
By default hal uses uft8 and uid mount options. But how can i specify additional mount options with fdi files?
Thanks.

Actually I don't know what fdi files are, but generally you set mount options in /etc/fstab (hal only triggers mounting a device, AFAIK).
See an example from my fstab to mount a SMB share:

Code: Select all

//192.168.126.131/smbshare /mnt/smbshare cifs rw,uid=voltago,gid=users,noauto,dir_mode=0550,file_mode=0660,user=voltago 0 0
The comma separated list starting with 'rw' is where the options go. See

Code: Select all

man mount
for options available to a specific filesystem type.

Hi

Take a look there

Code: Select all

/usr/share/hal/fdi/policy/10osvendor/20-storage-methods.fdi
I think structure is clear.

Or you could use Voltago`s advance.

Regards,
Mario
