No response on keybord small letters Q and U

Hi

For some reason I cannot type or see the small letter version of U and Q on consoles or any other inpUt screen inclUding this entry of this forUm

obvioUs explanation is a hardware problem with keyboard, bUt Using a different LinUx OS on the same hardware setUp I do not see the problem. Switching to another keyboard does not resolve it either..Changing to another shell does not resolve it either.

Using "cUt & paste" of displayed U's on the console, I can send U's and Q's

Any explanation and or sUggestion to resolve it??? How to pdate that keyboard driver

It can be the xorg.conf the keyboard is on wrong country or wrong settings there or there is a keyboard layout program that is causing this to happen.

How to fix it ?? not sure but try to google for linux + keyboard + wiki or something like this or the how-to's here in the forum might have a fix already for this.

Backup /etc/X11/xorg.conf then you can run xorgconf as root outside of x windows and redo it and then see if it works and then just update you xorg.conf video part to how it is now from backup and or compare the 2 and see where the difference is.
