dm_mod

Had a friend complaining about this over the phone, seam like on the init faild to load dm_mod. I've looked into into my kernel's 2.6.20.6 config and I didn't found anything. Maybe it has been removed and exists on his old kernel version, or I'm not finding it on mine.
Anyway, can anyone give me information about this module and where I can found it on my config (if he hasn't been removed yet).

In menuconfig, it's under "Device Drivers -> Multiple devices driver support (RAID and LVM) -> Device mapper support".

It's not something which is likely to disappear from the kernel anytime soon.
