beryl and mergedfb

  • Quote

Post by LHa » Mon Feb 26, 2007 5:00 pm

I'm using a laptop with beryl with the radeon drivers and aiglx. My problem is, that I cannot get to work my second monitor with MergedFB. It just shows clone mode with a very weird resolution.

Here's my xorg.conf:

Hi,

have you made any progress on that?

My dual head setup ceased to work several weeks ago, with a similar error message. But I do not even get clone. One of the screens is always blank.

EDIT: actually there is a bug already tracked: http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=178927

EDIT: downgrading xf86-video-ati from 6.63 to 6.6.1 solves my problem as suggested in the above bug entry.

i downgraded xf86-video-ati, but now beryl ceased to work at all, it uses always the backup-windowmanager. did you downgrade some other packages, too?
