Spell properly and don't write in capitals and you might get some help.

Also, please describe your problem more specifically. I mount my Ipod via KDE, and amarok recongnizes it quite well.

FF,

can you tell me how to mount it?

I tried "mount /dev/sda2 /mnt/ipod" and it gave permission denied errors in Amarok.

I tried with "mount -t usbfs" and I created them with 777 permissions, but Amarok said it could not "initialize" the iPod.

I'm lost.

I have KDE automount it.

Such commands are only allowed for root, and if he does, users will get problems. Try, as root

Code: Select all

# mount -t auto /dev/sda2 /mnt/ipod
# ls -l /mnt/ipod
#ls -l /mnt
The first line gives no output if successful, the others show files. If this works, you can choose between some automounting or adding the ipod to /etc/fstab , and "only" need to get the permissions right. But please do not run amarok as root!

No, usbfs is wrong, because it's for the usb device tree :(
