Xen domU boot modules.dep problem [SOLVED]

Being the noob that I am, this problem vexed me for a while.

There isn't another post that mentions this, but I cannot fathom this being an uncommon issue:

If you follow the wiki's intructions on creating a domU using quickpkg (http://gentoo-wiki.com/Xen) when you boot your new domU you'll get a bunch of messages like this one:

FATAL: Could not load /lib/modules/2.6.16.28-xen/modules.dep: No such file or d
irectory

I fixed it by doing:

mkdir -p /lib/modules/`uname -r` && depmod -a

I stopped getting the messages and everything works fine.
