Burning a VCD (but using DVD).

Help with creation, editing, or playback of sounds, images, or video. Amarok, audacious, mplayer, grip, cdparanoia and anything else that makes a sound or plays a video.

Burning a VCD (but using DVD).

Ladies and genttlemen... I bought a DVD burner last week and I'm trying to burn SVCD discs using DVDs, but with no luck. What I want is to download a movie (in AVI format), add the subtitles and then burn the SVCD. I already can do that using a CD burner (before the DVD burner I used to use common CD burner) and everything went good. In fact, I already have some movies burned with no problem and I can watch them in my DVD player at home very well.

To add the subtitles and prepare the AVI file I'm using avidemux2 and to burn the SVCD I'm using K3b and vcdimager. So once the AVI is prepared to be burned I run K3b, select File/New Project/New Video CD Project, change the media size using right button over the size bar and selecting From Media. Finally I add the mpeg files (ok, the AVI file, once prepared, is saved as an MPEG2 Motion Picture).

So I click on Burn and that window with the penguin using a cap appears. K3b scans the files (in this case they are 2) and the process fails (in fact, vcdimager fails) with the following message: image too big (640264 sectors > 449850 sectors)

Any hints?!

Greetings
