Using version 2.1.1670 of the program the parallels-config utility that is supposed to build the modules required for hypervision I get various errors during make clean all.

Code: Select all

make -C /lib/modules/2.6.18-ck1/build SUBDIRS=/usr/src/linux-2.6.18-ck1 SRCROOT=/usr/src/linux-2.6.18-ck1 modules && mv -f hypervisor.ko hypervisor.o
make[1365]: execvp: /bin/sh: Argument list too long
make -C /lib/modules/2.6.18-ck1/build SUBDIRS=/usr/src/linux-2.6.18-ck1 SRCROOT=/usr/src/linux-2.6.18-ck1 modules && mv -f hypervisor.ko hypervisor.o
make[1367]: execvp: /bin/sh: Argument list too long
make[1367]: execvp: /bin/sh: Argument list too long
make[1367]: execvp: /bin/sh: Argument list too long
make[1367]: execvp: /bin/sh: Argument list too long
make[1367]: execvp: /bin/sh: Argument list too long
make[1367]: *** [/usr/src/linux-2.6.18-ck1/Module.symvers] Error 127
make[1366]: *** [/usr/lib/parallels/drivers/hypervisor/hypmain.o] Error 2
make[1365]: *** [_module_/usr/lib/parallels/drivers/hypervisor] Error 2
make[1364]: *** [/usr/lib/parallels/drivers/hypervisor/hypmain.o] Error 2
I first thought it might be a conflict due to the fact that I'm using the CK-patchset for my kernel. But after a closer look I think it's a scripting error in the make file.

Updated: Apperantly the latest beta works flawless no matter the kernel.
Please provide detailed tracebacks and your emerge --info when posting compile errors.
