Kde 3.5 annoying volume popup

Hi
i've installed a fresh 2006.0 stage 2 on a Dell latitude D505 and i've emerged kde 3.5.2 but when i start kde i find a window with the "Volume" string. I'm not able to close this window. I've tried to disable and unmerge kmix, delete any kde session data file, re-emerged both xorg and kde but this window is still there.
I don't know what try to solve this problem, i've no other solution to try, it's making me crazy.
What can i do?
Please someone help me......

can you find which process is spawning the window?
