KDE adminstrator mode [solved]

It won't let me in or su to root.
It always says incorrect password.

The password is right because I use it to first log into the box to run KDE.
Everything else seems to work.

Firstly, did you log in and start KDE as an ordinary user or as root?

Secondly, which password are you putting in?

But the user is in the wheel group, isn't he? Can you su - root on the command line?

I am having the same problem as bjlockie.
I don't really know all that much about gentoo, or linux for that matter, as this is my first install.
