Expect it to brake :)

I juste forked an old project : RubyDevelop

This is my first testing releas (0.1.1).
Rain Of Blood
Ebuild is avalabel.
My goal is to develop an lightwight but fully futured IDE for ruby development. More that Gedit but less that Anjuta :) Other languages suport is not planed for the moment.

Courent Futures :
- Basic Project Managment
- Class wizard (need some love)
- GTK::SourceView based editor (syntax, find/replace, indentation...)
- RBBR integration
- Methods/Classes switcher

Any feedback is welcom :)

Looks cool, I'll check it out when I get home.

EDIT: Looks cool, but I can't really test it :D
Theres a fairly major bug in the file/dir opening methods.
If I try to open a file or create a new project I get

Code: Select all

(eval): line 21
   Gtk-CRITICAL **:gtk_file_system_unix_get_folder: assertion `g_path_is_absolute (filename)' failed
(eval):1:in `set_current_folder': Can't set current folder (RuntimeError)
	from (eval):1:in `current_folder='
	from /usr/lib/ruby/site_ruby/1.8/ROB/ui/fileopenandsavedialog.rb:15:in `initialize'
	from /usr/lib/ruby/site_ruby/1.8/ROB/ui/appwindow.rb:252:in `open_cb'
	from /usr/lib/ruby/site_ruby/1.8/ROB/ui/appwindow.rb:175:in `connect_signals'
	from /usr/lib/ruby/site_ruby/1.8/ROB/widgets/menubar.rb:122:in `create_file_menu'
	from /usr/bin/rob:69:in `execute'
	from /usr/bin/rob:280
I don't really know the code, so I don't really know where to start looking, sorry.

Is ROB still being actively developed? I noticed the last post in this thread was from February. If it is, is there a new version due soon or later?

Paul Chavard, a.k.a. [profile=27611]tchak[/profile], the author of the Rain of Blood fork of RubyDevelop seems to have adopted the RubyDevelop project. The new version of Rain of Blood (0.1.2) was released on March 27, 2006 on the RubyForge site for RubyDevelop. Here is the link:
