HP printer stopped working

Hi. My HP Deskjet 5740 was working fine last time I used it. However now it refuses to print.

Cups gives the error "Unable to send print file to printer: Invalid argument". Turning debug logging doesnt give much more info. Only major system changes since the last use are upgrade to 2.6.14 kernel (from 2.6.12) and switch to modular X.
It happens with all programs/cups testpage/terminal. The printer is ok, because the manual testpage function on the printer works fine.

Anyone got any ideas?

This a printer directly connected to your desktop ?

You followed this guide right ?

Yup, its usb, on this computer. Yup, that was how I set it up to start with. And ive gone throught again and checked that everything is still correct acording to the guide, and it is.
