Hi.
Whenever I try to burn a CD with cdrecord, the recording speed is incredibly higher than the specified speed, and the recording fails.
My recorder is SONY CRX175E2; I have cdrtools-2.0.1-alpha05 (but I have tried the same with previous versions), and cdrdao-1.1.7-r1.
Please, help me if you can. I have searched information on the web, but I haven't got nothing useful.

how are you trying to burn the cd?
have you tried

Code: Select all

cdrecord -v speed=<speed> dev=<device> driveropts=burnfree
where <speed> is an integer and <device> is in the form x,y,z that corresponds to the output of cdrecord -scanbus for your writer?

Yes. I know, at least a bit, how to use cdrecord. I've not tried with this driver option, but i'll do it.
A month ago, I recorded some cds with cdrecord in RedHat without any problems.
Thank you. Namarië.
