When I am trying to emerge gcc it fails due to errors while applying patches:

Code: Select all

emerge -v gcc

I was already trying to do
emerge sync
but error still exist.
I was trying also emerge the other version of gcc (4.0.1 4.0.2) and i have same error with them. It fails while applying the pie-arm-uclibc patch.
I am not sure but maybe problem was because of changing profile from 2004.x to 2005.1.

Apparently the vanilla use flag was turned on on my system, and the description of it insists almost entirely of a warning not to turn it on for system wide use... no idea how it would have gotten turned on, as I don't remember it at all...

Removing the use flag causes gcc to build correctly.
