Enemy Territory: I get stuck in the console! [Solved]

During gameplay, If I enter the console (`), there is no cursor for my to type with and I cannot exit with an Esc. I can't get out of the console even though the game is still functioning and can watch the gameplay around me. I have to kill it to get out of it. This does not affect me between maps, but only during gameplay.

Any ideas?

hit ` again and console will close.

It doesn't, that's my problem (should've included (`) in my original post, sorry). I get a blinking cursor. I can't type anything or do anything. I've pressed every key on the keyboard, and not a single one does anything at that point.

try renaming the ~/.etwolf dir to something like ~/.etwolf.backup and then start ET. If the console then works normal, there is something wrong with your settings.
