APIC error on CPU0: 40(40)

Greetings,

I got this APIC error on my one and only CPU from my dmesg.
Although it doesn't really affect my system or I don't know of.

Any clue from anybody?
Do I just add pci=noacpi at boot will solve it?

Update... the cause might be high traffic on the LAN Card...
since if I boot up without use BitTornado... the error doesn't appears.

I have this kind of problem as well, very sometimes, but I think its because of my SIS chipset and i read it was problematic with this chipset...

You disable apic by passing the noapic parameter to the kernel, or just disable it in the kernel and recompile... :)

When I had these errors my system lags very much... almost inresponsive...
