Buidling idmap_rid module in samba?

Hi,

Does anyone know if there is an established way to build the idmap_rid module in samba? A review of the ebuilds and USE flags does not come up with anything. I could add

--with-shared-modules=idmap_rid

myself, but I thought I would check if there is another way?

waggawagga samba # USE="winbind acl" emerge -vp samba

These are the packages that I would merge, in order:

Calculating dependencies ...done!
[ebuild R ] net-fs/samba-3.0.14a-r2 +acl -cups -doc -kerberos -ldap -libclamav +mysql* -oav +pam -postgres +python* -quotas +readline (-selinux) +winbind -xml +xml2* 0 kB

I had exactly the same problem. Here's a workaround.

Copy the samba-3.0.14a-r2.ebuild to the portage overlay, and patch it with the following diff

Code: Select all

--- /opt/gentoo-rsync/portage/net-fs/samba/samba-3.0.14a-r2.ebuild      2005-08-24 16:05:48.000000000 +0100
+++ /usr/local/portage/net-fs/samba/samba-3.0.14a-r2.ebuild     2005-09-22 00:39:48.000000000 +0100

I've filled a bug with this issue. I hope they'll agree with us. :)
