Hello
I've having a really wierd problem on my friends machine on which I've just installed gentoo.
The problem is that the clock is running twice as fast as it should! 8O

It's an AMD Semperon 2800+ laptop running gentoo-sources 2.6.12

What could be the problem?

you have to put

Code: Select all

noapictimer
as a kernel option in your grub.conf

Do you have the correct drivers for your chipset built into your kernel? I have seen a few posts where that is the cause.
