installing openoffice from packages cd

how do i install openoffice from the packages cd?

when i use

Code: Select all

emerge openoffice

it tries to download it from the internet

how do i install it from the cd and will it add itself to the kde menu?

to use package cd you need

export PKGDIR=/pathtocdrom

emerge -usepkgonly openoffice
