[SOLVED] artwiz fonts don't work in fluxbox.

Instead of seeing the normal fonts in the styles, I get a much larger plain font. Looks like lucida. I know they're not supposed to use that font, they don't in bbLean. I emerged the artwiz fonts and enabled their path in xorg.conf, so I don't know what's going on.

Have u tried 'em in some other wms.
I suppose it may not be the problem of fluxbox's own,at least it works well in my fluxbox.
Why emerged the artwiz font, you could download the fonts and untar it into the font directory, maybe it'll work well.

Try emerge'ing artwiz-aleczapka-en. They are the same fonts only in TTF format.

it doesn't work here either,
i've tried like everything i could think of
and that other fontpack doesn't work here
the last thing i'm trying is reemerging fluxbox :(

edit : i found out it is just the Sans font, every other font works just right, if i open up a sans-based theme, the font is WAY too large and doesn't look in the slightest bits to sans >_>

What version of Fluxbox do you use?
If an old one, try ty play with AA setting ON/OFF from Fluxbox menu.
If you use latest version then note that it uses XFT by default so use correct syntax for font names.

Heh, forgot this was even still around.
Try emerge'ing artwiz-aleczapka-en. They are the same fonts only in TTF format.
That solved my problem, thanks! GuntherDW's though, if he doesn't have AA switched on by accident, then I'm lost =P

go into the artwiz fonts dir as root (the bitmap artwiz, not the truetype) and run mkfontdir and mkfontscale and see if that helps.
