Package Blocking, What to do?

Hi everyone.
im emerging gnome and in the middle of it i got a

!!! Error: The <=x11-themes/gnome-themes-2.8.2 packa conflicts with another package
!!! both can't be installed on the same system together
!!! Please use 'emerge --pretend' to determine blockers.

i ran

Code: Select all

emerge --pretend gnome

and got the result

Code: Select all

[Block B    ] <=x11-themes/gnome-themes-2.8.2 (is blocking x11-themes/gtk-engines-2.6.3

so since im new to linux. what to do?

Unemerge the blocking packages.

Search the forum e.g. for "gtk-engines gnome-themes block".
This stuff has been discussed several times before.
