Samba per host loging

I'm running Samba 3.0.10
I want to have different logs for each host
I added entry

log file = /var/samba/log.%m

into smb.conf [global] section and got several errors in /var/samba/log.smbd

  Unable to open new log file /var/samba/log.HOSTNAME: No such file or directory

# ls -al /var/log/samba/

-rw-r--r--   1 root root     0 Jun  3 20:02 .keep
-rw-r--r--   1 root root  6634 Jun  3 21:01 log.nmbd
-rw-r--r--   1 root root 10083 Jun  3 21:03 log.smbd

Any ideas?

find the difference ...


edit first line to

# ... /var/log/samba/ ...

and everything should be fine
