ut2004/RO maps take FOREVER to load & exceed 100%?

The subject pretty much says it. I hit a server w/a map or textures or something I don't already have on the HD. Say it's a 6MB file. Well, it takes like 20 minutes. And the counter goes past 100%. And by the time I'm done downloading it, all the players have moved on to the NEXT level!

so for example, now it says:

Receiving "RO-Koitos1944" (F10 Cancels)
size 6957K Complete 126.5%

What's up with this? It seems like it does two rounds of downloading. The first time it goes to 100% relatively quickly, then it counts again starting at 0%, much slower. This is the one that goes up to 300 or even past 400%

Anyone know what could be causing this?

Assuming you're running amd64, it's a bug in the amd64 port which will hopefully be resolved in the next patch.

Yep. AMD64. I shoulda mentioned that.. I searched around and didn't see anything on the AMD64 forum (nor by googling), but thanks for the info.

Off to try the new patch...

Hmm.. The patch was applied successfully, but now I get this error:
./ut2004-bin: error while loading shared libraries: ./libSDL-1.2.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
The thing is, there *IS* a libSDL-1.2.so.0 file in /opt/ut2004/System *AND* it's the same one that I had to link previously to one in /usr/lib to get ut2004 to work..

Anyone have any idea why it might not be finding it?

The patch appears to have reversed (backed out) successfully... ie, ut2004 is back to normal...

Be sure that the binaries aren't being overwritten. If a 64 bit binary links to a 32 bit binary, you will get that error.

Hmm. well, for example, the ut2004.bin file is being replaced (although the patch script backs up the old one), but maybe the new binary is 64 bit and the library is 32 bit (for the old 32bit binary).. in which case, I don't know what to do. I only have one libSDL-1.2.so.0 in /usr/lib to link to. I'm surprised this issue hasn't turned up on the forum considering this patch has been out for a few weeks now..
