configure: error: jk2 and apache compilers must be the same

sounds like you compiled apache with a different compiler.
have you upgraded gcc after installing apache?

Hi!

I have the same problem, but:

- I know I updated gcc between apache and mod_jk2 compiles
- I recompiled apache with the new compiler
- I even tried emerge apache mod_jk2

Nothing works, it just fails with:

Code: Select all

compiler discovered by configure: i686-pc-linux-gnu-gcc
compiler used by apache: gcc
delete config.cache and try CC=gcc ./configure
configure: error: jk2 and apache compilers must be the same

!!! Please attach the config.log to your bug report:
!!! /var/tmp/portage/mod_jk2-2.0.4/work/jakarta-tomcat-connectors-jk2-2.0.4-src/jk/native2/config.log

!!! ERROR: www-apache/mod_jk2-2.0.4 failed.
!!! Function econf, Line 485, Exitcode 0
!!! econf failed
!!! If you need support, post the topmost build error, NOT this status message.

It seems like all you need to do is specify CC option in the ebuild, which in this case, it should be CC=i686-pc-linux-gnu-gcc. I had this problem when trying to build it from source and just had to do CC=i686-pc-linux-gnu-cc ./configure --with-jndi --with-pcre && make && make install
