Hey. I don't know if this is the right forum for this question, but I suspect that this might be a kernel issue. If not, it's something to do with hardware :/
I don't really know what happened, but as of a couple of months ago my game frame rates have suffered majorly. It doesn't matter what it is; even glxgears shows about 4fps. I'm on Gentoo (duh), xorg 6.8.0-r3, ck-sources 2.6.10-ck1, GF4 MX420Athlon XP 2100+, 512mb DDR333. This never used to be a problem, but I really don't know why.
My current .config: http://flatface.net:8000/~flatface/logs ... 2.6.10-ck1
dmesg output: http://flatface.net:8000/~flatface/logs-nv/dmesg
lspci output: http://flatface.net:8000/~flatface/logs-nv/lspci
glxgears snapshot: http://flatface.net:8000/~flatface/logs-nv/glxgears.png
xorg.conf: http://flatface.net:8000/~flatface/logs-nv/xorg.conf
Or just get a directory listing from http://flatface.net:8000/~flatface/logs-nv/
I really hate having to boot into Windows for things like HL2. Any help would be appreciated.
