The 2.4.19r9 gentoo kernel has 14xx and 15x3 driver modules.
It is impossible to activate the DMA channels. Very slow box. 
It works perfectly fine with Red Hat or Mandrake (auto detection). Are the other kernel sources working ? Will gentoo sources add this feature ?
