I'm getting this weird happening on epsxe. Firstly I have a Logitech Rumblepad Pro gamepad that I'm using to play games on epsxe. The version of epsxe is 1.5.2 and 1.6.0, and I have a feeling it will do this with all versions. I don't think the plugins have anything to do with it because it happens with all plugins I've used, but they are Ammoq's, padJoy, and OmniJoy.
Nowthen the rumblepad supports Analog and D-pad mode, and you press a button at the top to choose between the two, actually it does nothing more than set whether the direction input is taken from the D-pad or from the joystick. When the device is plugged in, it naturally defaults to analog mode.
What's happening is when I start a game, if at any time the D-pad mode is toggled, the system will go into kernel panic. I have tried this on a couple of other emulators and games and it only happens in epsxe. Even crazier, it works for a few days before doing this! At first I was using PadJoy, and then when it started doing it I fought and scratched and finally set up an older version of the emulator with a different input plugin that worked temporarily, but now it does it with that one too! I'm baffled.
