Yes. ;) j/kMadEgg wrote:Am I stupid for not finding an ebuild for this version? :oops:

What errors are you having getting it compiled?Lunchy wrote:Hehehehe, I'm not so bold...actually, I'm running into some snafus in getting it compiled....I'm gonna keep playin with it...

"42" is too obvious of a name. It doesn't have that hint of insanity that most of my release names have.Stu L Tissimus wrote:Also, could you name love-sources-2.6.3-r2 "42"?
Here's what I'm getting...I've tried this with and without ACPI in the kernel...steel300 wrote:What errors are you having getting it compiled?Lunchy wrote:Hehehehe, I'm not so bold...actually, I'm running into some snafus in getting it compiled....I'm gonna keep playin with it...

Code: Select all
Processor type and features --->
[*] Local APIC support on uniprocessors
[*] IO-APIC support on uniprocessors

They should have already been included in mm. I would also *highly* recommend updating your bios.cpu wrote:What with nForce2 APIC problems ? Because there is no patch included for this problems...
Revenge of the kittens has a nice ring to it. We'll see what mood I'm in when the new love-sources is released.Stu L Tissimus wrote:Hmmm... Good point, Too obvious. How about "Revenge of the kittens"?

I didn't know about it. I have an SMP so those are enabled by default. neenee had the same problem on the IRC channel and I grepped the right files for it (that sounded disgusting. I really should stop doing perverted things with the kernel source)Lunchy wrote:steel300 wrote:You need to enableIt's a new APIC thingCode: Select all

Ahhh, saaaweeeet. Much better.Thanks! I feel kinda dumb...is there something I should have read so that I'd have known that?

I really like "Joey the Glow in the Dark Goatboy" but again, we'll see what mood I'm in for the new release.Stu L Tissimus wrote:Well, other candidates for the name are "When Republicans Strike" and "Joey the Glow in the dark Goatboy".
Hehe, ok good, then I don't feel so bad.steel300 wrote: I didn't know about it.
