Hardware profiles & USB keyboards

Hi All,

I've read a load about using hprofile, quickswitch or other script solutions to choose a network connection during boottime. This is all very interesting, but what I am looking for, I haven't found yet... I have a USB keyboard (US layout) which I use at home, my Laptop has a GB layout keyboard. I would like to see that my X config file is changed to adapt to the use of the USB keyboard or not...

Any ideas?

it should not be too hard to create an init script that checks usb via lsusb and copies the right version of your XF86Config to /etc/X11/ if grep returns your Keyboard.

I do something similar to change my XF86Config file depending on whether I'm using an external CRT or the built-in LCD on my laptop. My script takes a command line option because I'm too lazy to figure out how to detect the type of mointor attached, but it's the same idea.
