How does one become a Gentoo developer?

I just started using Gentoo about 3 months ago after being a RedHat user for quite some time. I really love the distro and would love to help out in any way possible.

I read the documentation for developers but I didn't see any where how to help out exactly.

Okay so the next question is what needs to be developed specificly? Is their a page that has project listings?

Ok, I'm sorry, that just worked too well to pass up.

Those are the main listings of projects and outstanding bugs. Otherwise, as suggested back in the original thread, try contributing some ebuilds first.
