It helps i'm on a 3970x but its been a grind (my fault, not gentoo's)
I've had to make oldConfig and learn a ton of new options (back when I was last online I could fly through make menuConfig)
My boot partition isn't self mounting, so it was fun chasing down why /boot had 6.19 but it was recognized on the boot screen
Now its just updating, changing configurations l, figuring out options or keywords for stubborn packages and emerging again went from 760 total packages to 198 with dev-python/pivy failing then knocked 155 off of that and I need to troubleshoot x11 nvidia drivers so I'm not quite done but man, I get why people say its better to backup what you need and start fresh. But on the other hand I am re-learning faster this way. Merged and on 6.19.0 (ig 6.19.3 just dropped, but thats typical maintenance.
Anyway idk, just thought i'd pop in. Biggest bummer is forgetting gpg password.
rc / grep / dwm / st / gpm/ links with irc Blender, Cad, Slicer and Firefox. I missed it, you kinda get used to phones and smart t.v.s and forget how nice it is to know your software and not have every click and clock pulse being stored without consent.
