I know it was supposed to be a joke, but let me share a bit of Eastern European Wisdom here:
When the government says they want your good, you better make sure they don't find it.

To my cynical eyes this article looks like a ground work for The World's Biggest Prison's power grab. Give it a few months and there will either be travel restrictions, or a food supply chain takeover.

Fuc... because Bird flue sucks. But some will survive! Love the guardian thank you for your work. But that it affects this far island is kind of creepy.

However - the change in temperature and circumstances will end in some extinction of species and this is a wtf big issue for us all. Hope we find a work around and humans nearby do what they can to help.

i've never heard of that island (no pun intended) let alone that it was an australian territory, i really hope this virus just goes away quick, both for the penguins and for the birds catching it

maybe that's something the Gentoo Foundation could help with via donations and stuff
