"/usr/lib64:" created belonging to brltty - Is this a bug?

I found that a lib64: folder was created inside /usr. Upon investigation, the files in this folder belong to app-accessibility/brltty. I mainly have the following questions:

• 1. Is this a bug?
  2. I couldn't find any information about this path in the ebuild file. If this is a bug, does it come from upstream or Portage?
  3. Is there currently any workaround for this situation?

The "lib64:" contains files related to tcl. So I guess to get rid of it you could recompile brltty with USE='-tcl'.

The build process for this package is too complex for me for trying to pinpoint where the error occurs.
My guess is somewhere where files related to tcl bindings are being installed.
