GLSL 1.50 is not supported

GLSL 1.50 is not supported. Supported versions are: 1.10, 1.20, 1.30, 1.40, 1.00 ES, and 3.00 ES

I am running a headless Rpi5 running Kodi connected to a tv with hdmi. I am trying to get the spectrum visualization working but I get the error in line 1. I am running media-libs/mesa-24.1.7. If I try to upgrade mesa, I cant get Kodi to work as I get a segfault when it starts. I am compiling kodi from the cli and pulling git. I have compiled with gl and gles but both give the same above error. I am not sure to see what version of OpenGL I am running since I am headless and alll the instructions show glxinfo or whatever the command is. I can't tell if my problem is I need to go down in mesa as I assume they provide OpenGL and OPenGL ES.

Anyone have any advice?
