My printer OKI B2400n is installed, print job not processed

My printer OKI B2400n is installed, print job not processed

I have the most recent installation of gentoo, I was trying to make my OKI B2400n work (it worked on my last intallation).

I installed the software: net-print/cups, net-print/cups-meta and kde-plasma/print-manager

And added the printer using manage prints on KDE environment.

By I try do some print and the job stucks on: "Processing - Printing page 1, 4% complete."

What would be causing this issue?

antoniovalos,

Have you set up CUPS?
Have a look at Open Printing.

If that is no help, we need some diagnostic information from CUPS.
In /etc/cups/cupsd.conf, at the top of the file

# Log general information in error_log - change "warn" to "debug"
# for troubleshooting...
LogLevel warn
set the LogLevel to debug.

Remove, (or save) the content of /var/log/cups/ as we want a pristine diagnostics log.

Restart cupsd so it takes on board the changes.

Print a test page.

Put the /var/log/cups/error_log file onto a pastebin, it may be too big for a post.

We need all of the log. Hence my request for the whole thing on a pastebin site.

I realized that the problem is not the system settings for the printer, it actually doesn't work, I tested it on another computer that is supposed to work, but it doesn't.
The printer has the same behavior at this computer, and don't give me any error message.
