I normally use tuigreet to boot up my laptop.
Recently when I boot I receive the message
Code: Select all
user.greetd | * Starting user.greetd ...
user.greetd | * user.greetd: waiting for service (50 seconds)
user.greetd | * user.greetd: waiting for service (40 seconds)
user.greetd | * user.greetd: waiting for service (30 seconds)
user.greetd | * user.greetd: waiting for service (20 seconds)
user.greetd | * user.greetd: waiting for service (10 seconds)
user.greetd | * ERROR: user.greetd failed to start
This is my /etc/conf.d/display-manager:
Code: Select all
[terminal]
# The VT to run the greeter on. Can be "next", "current" or a number
# designating the VT.
vt = 7
# The default session, also known as the greeter.
[default_session]
# `agreety` is the bundled agetty/login-lookalike. You can replace `/bin/sh`
# with whatever you want started, such as `sway`.
command = "tuigreet -g 'Access is restricted to authorized personnel only.' -t -r --asterisks --power-shutdown 'loginctl poweroff' --power-reboot 'loginctl reboot' -c 'dbus-run-session Hyprland'"
# The user to run the command as. The privileges this user must have depends
# on the greeter. A graphical greeter may for example require the user to be
# in the `video` group.
user = "greetd"
Code: Select all
CHECKVT=7
DISPLAYMANAGER="greetd"
Does anybody know why is this happening?
