Googling around, I find more confusion than clarifications.
Somebody in the Arch community apparently found solutions related to systemd services, but I use openrc.
My desktop works very smoothly, except a failure when I resume from hibernation.
Both screens shut down after the openrc output and all what I find is this error:
Code: Select all
nvidia-modeset: ERROR: GPU:0: Idling display engine timed out: 0x0000987d:0:0:417Tweaking /etc/modprobe.d/nvidia.conf didn't help.
If I use nouveau everything works finely.
What I see is that if I manually remove nvidia-drm (after stopping display-manager)
Code: Select all
modprobe -r nvidia_drmKernel is 6.6.7, nvidia drivers are 550.144.03 (same result with 550.142 and 565.77), card is GeForce GT 1030.
What's wrong with nvidia-drm?

HUjuice
